Joseph Ayers: Biomimetic Robotics
Joseph Ayers professor, biology, Northeastern University
Joseph Ayers talks about creating robots with nervous system-like circuits that allow them to act and “think” like animals and about his innovative plans for future applications. Ayers discusses his work in the fields of biomimetics, which uses the study of nature to create machines, and neuroethology, which attempts to explain animal behavior in terms of the connectivity of neurons.
This lecture is part of the 2008 IDEAS Boston conference.
