Charlayne Hunter Gault discusses her trailblazing career, the challenges facing African American journalists, and her life in South Africa. Gwen Ifill, host of the PBS program Week in Review, moderates.
Charlayne Hunter Gault became the first African American woman to graduate from the University of Georgia in 1962. After receiving her degree Gault went on to become one of America's leading journalists.
